Working principle
Grinding body movement: The main body of the ball mill is a low-speed rotating cylinder placed horizontally on two large bearings. The cylinder is equipped with grinding bodies, which are generally steel balls, but also steel columns, steel rods, pebbles, etc. When the ball mill rotates, the grinding body adheres to the inner wall lining surface of the cylinder under the action of inertial centrifugal force, rotates with the cylinder and is brought to a certain height, and then falls freely due to gravity, crushing the material in the cylinder like a projectile.
Grinding and material flow: During the rotation of the cylinder, the grinding body will also slide and roll, causing grinding between the grinding body, lining and material to grind the material. At the same time, due to the continuous forced feeding at the feed end and the height difference of the material surface between the feed end and the discharge end, the material slowly flows from the feed end to the discharge end to complete the grinding operation.
Structural composition 1
Feeding part: responsible for conveying the material to be ground into the ball mill cylinder, usually including feed port, feed pipe and related feeding device, etc.
Discharging part: used to discharge the ground material out of the cylinder, with discharge port, discharge pipe and other components. Different types of ball mills have different discharging methods.
Rotating part: It is the core part of the ball mill, consisting of cylinder, liner, grinding body, etc. The cylinder is generally welded from steel plates, closed at both ends with end covers, and the inner wall of the cylinder is inlaid with wear-resistant liner to protect the cylinder and improve the grinding effect.
Transmission part: mainly includes reducer, small transmission gear, motor, electronic control and other components. It is driven by the motor, and drives the small transmission gear after being decelerated by the reducer. The small transmission gear meshes with the large gear fixed on the cylinder shell, so that the cylinder rotates.
Classification method 1
According to the shape of the cylinder: the ratio of the cylinder length to the diameter of the short cylinder ball mill is 1-2; the ratio of the cylinder length to the diameter of the tube ball mill is 2-7; the length-diameter ratio of the conical ball mill is 0.25-1.0.
According to the operation mode: the intermittent ball mill is suitable for grinding small batches and multiple varieties of materials; the continuous ball mill can be divided into open-circuit ball mill, circulating (closed-circuit) ball mill, and air-swept ball mill.
According to the unloading method: the center unloading ball mill can be divided into overflow ball mill and grid ball mill.
Application field
